Pavlo
Friday, October 24, 2008 – 8:00 pm

Pavlo is a dynamic composer, guitarist, and singer, who has created a unique style best described as “Mediterranean music.” Mixing the sounds of Greek Bouzouki with Flamenco and Latin influences has proven a winning combination, which Pavlo says was the “natural progression” of combining his Classical and Flamenco training with his passion for Greek and European sounds.

The dynamic Mantini Sisters have been captivating audiences across Canada and the United States with their smooth blend and endless versatility for nearly two decades This year, these seasoned perfo~mers proudly present The Ladies of Broadway. Peppered with fascinating show­biz stories, this “class act” pays sensational tribute to legendary ladi-es of the stage, including Fanny Brice, Eth~l Merman, Julie Andrews and Gwen Verdon.

Bronn & Katherine Journey
Friday, February 20,2009 - 8:00 pm

Harpist Bronn Journey and vocalist Katherine Journey share the glorious sounds of heavenly music all across the country. Both are highly trained, classically educated musicians. Bronn’s I effortless technique and humorous approach continue to make him a favorite with classical concertgoers, while Katherine’s alluring, expressive vocal interpretations keep the crowds coming back. On their last tour of 44 states, standing ovations were the rule rather than the exception!

Swiss Wind Quintet with pianist Michiko Otaki
Friday, March 20, 2009 - 8:00 pm

Internationally acclaimed ensemble pianist Michiko Otaki joins the Swiss Wind Quintet for a program featuring Mozarts Quintet for Piano and Winds and the tunefully Romantic Sextet by Ludwig Thuille. The Quintet was founded in 1985 and made its highly successful American debut tour in 1994 including performances in New York, Atlanta, Savannah, and Miami.

Tommy Dorsey Orchesira

In Big Band history, the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra is recognized as one of the best all-around dance bands. It could swing with the best of them, and no other band could come close to Tommy’s when it came to playing ballads. BUDDY MORROW, conductor of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, first came to prominence as a featured performer with such leading orchestras as Tommy Dorsey, Paul Whiteman, Artie Shaw and Jimmy Dorsey. His outstanding musicianship has been evident through the years, not only in the world of Big Bands, but also as a featured artist with symphonies as well as jazz groups.

Pianafiddle
 Tuesday, May 5, 2009 -8:00 pm

 

Is it bluegrass? Is it jazz? Is it classical, ragtime, or Celtic? If Pianafiddle is performing, the answer is YES! Starting with only the framework of familiar melody, pianist Lynn Wright and violinist/fiddler Adam DeGraff improvise as they go, blending the known and the unknown in gripping performances that make toes tap and hands clap!
